FireSmart Canada has launched a great new app this fall called FireSmart Begins at Home. Available as a free Apple or Android download, this app is designed to give users the tools they need to mitigate the risk of fire damage to their properties - wherever they may reside.
The FireSmart Begins at Home app’s primary purpose of which is to engage homeowners in voluntary wildfire mitigation activities by offering a self-conducted home assessment. The app guides homeowners through a series of questions about their property to help residents identify specific actions they can take on their property to reduce wildfire risks.

Navigate through the different sections of the app and answer a series of questions about your property to help identify specific actions you can take to reduce wildfire risks throughout your home. After completing your self-assessment, take action with the unique mitigation tips specific to your property.
Free and Family-Shareable
Up to six family members will be able to use the FireSmart Begins at Home app with Family Sharing enabled.
